For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jer 29:11)

Camping

Gary tries to get the older kids out camping a few times during the summer.  One of these years I will finally be ready to take all the kids and start up the tradition as a family.

Summer art

This summer I taught an art class to several homeschool families and we had such a fun time.  The kids are so gifted.  I did not get pictures of most of our projects, but here are a few that we did.

Stewart and Stella

Gary found another little garter and now the new addition shares a tank with Stella.  They are so cute together.

July 4th

I have taken very few pictures of our activities this summer, but was determined to capture at least a piece of our 4th of July.

Latest additions

Gary found an adorable little garter snake near our park last week.  I have been calling her Stella and she is adapting really well to her new home.  Our beloved Matilda (a snake Gary has had since before we were married) died last summer and we have been waiting to find a snake to put in her empty aquarium.

This is the giant tadpole we found at a reservoir near our house.  We have considered several names.  This lovely creature deserves an extra special name, maybe Fluffy or Gary's favorite, Rose Bud.

Summer projects with the kids

Now that school is out we are able to focus on some fun activities on days when we have a morning at home.  Here is the dollhouse we are remodeling.  This dollhouse was mine when I was a little girl so it is especially fun doing this project with the kids.  The pink and purple rooms are the ones we have just started painting/papering.

Kayla is helping me decide what to put on her wall.  Here is the beginning of a bunny family
